There is no sporting event quite like the Super Bowl. After all, even people with little (or no) interest in sports will watch it.
Perhaps you’ll personally only watch it for the commercials. Maybe you’ll only watch it for the halftime show entertainment. Regardless of why you watch the game, Super Bowl Sunday has become a national holiday—one that millions upon millions of Americans enjoy together.
As Beacon Hill prepares for Super Bowl LX, here are some ideas for you—as a resident—to consider, especially if you’re interested in hosting a Super Bowl party.
Bingo! If you’re a big fan of bingo, you can relish it even during the Super Bowl. Simply download Super Bowl bingo cards for free on sites like this. Once you’ve downloaded the cards, hand them out to whoever would like to play and then focus on the television to see which events occur on your card. If you’re the first person to cross out all of your squares consecutively (diagonally, horizontally, or vertically), you’ll win!
Craft the evening away. If you or your guests aren’t big-time football fans and would prefer to craft, provide them a “twist.” Rather than crafting items you normally would, you and your guests can create football-themed crafts instead—banners, foam fingers, jerseys, and so forth.
Create delicious snacks. Aside from the football and camaraderie, a Super Bowl party is known for one other main characteristic: the fantastic food. Your guests may prefer simplicity, including buffalo wings, chips and dip, fruit, sliders, subs, and veggies. Or you may think outside the box a bit, while creating snacks like loaded potato skins, jalapeno poppers, pigs in a blanket, and pinwheels. Nonetheless, your guests will love whatever you offer!
Dance, dance, dance. After the game, the Super Bowl champions don’t have to be the only people who are celebrating. Join them by dancing the night away! Be sure to have enough room for guests who can’t walk, ensuring they can join in on the fun, too. Through a little dancing “after-party,” this year’s Super Bowl will definitely be one to treasure—for you and each of your guests.
Decorate your residence. Prior to your guests’ arrival, decorate your residence as well—even if you’re just adding a couple football-themed decorations to it. Consider buying balloons, creating banners and signs, and using your creativity. Your guests will love it!
Karaoke. Bad Bunny doesn’t have to be your (and your party guests’) only Super Bowl halftime show entertainment. Why not create a show of your own? Invite each of your guests to sing whichever song they’d prefer—even if you don’t have a microphone! Maybe you could also ask them which song they’re planning to sing ahead of time? By doing so, you can share lyrics with them before their big performance.
Make football-themed mason jars. Do you happen to have any extra mason jars in your residence? If so, use them for your Super Bowl party! You and your guests can create football-themed mason jars, featuring all sorts of decorations. Let your imagination run wild. If you don’t have any mason jars, purchase some ahead of time, as your guests will likely love this crafting idea.
Predict the scores. Before the game starts, ask your guests to predict the scores for the end of every quarter. Each winner can receive an award of some sort. If no one guesses the correct scores for each quarter, simply reward whoever had the closest predictions. Perhaps you’ll have more than one winner every quarter? No worries! Simply offer a prize for each winner!
Toss mini footballs. Prior to the big game, buy some mini footballs. Once everyone arrives for your party, pass them around and provide your guests targets to aim for. Whoever hits the most targets with their mini football, wins! Consider offering the winner a prize of some sort, too.
Trivia. Are you a sports fan? Do you know quite a bit about football and the Super Bowl? This trivia game will truly test your knowledge! Even if you aren’t a football fanatic, go ahead and play. You may surprise yourself. At the very least, you’ll have a great time with your fellow Beacon Hill residents.
As the snow continues to fall, gather around your fellow Beacon Hill residents and enjoy a national pastime with them. You’ll not only meet new friends possibly, but you’ll also enhance the friendships you already have!
