2024-25 Community Report

We are proud to share our 2024-25 Community Report, a reflection of the meaningful connections we’ve built with residents, members of the Eastgate community and partners in West Michigan and beyond.

2024 was a remarkable year of growth and innovation at Beacon Hill, and our Community Report reflects the meaningful ways we’re continuing to make a positive impact. In the fall, we announced our 400,000-square-foot West End expansion, which will add a host of residences and world-class amenities designed to enhance comfort, connection and joy in the lives of even more seniors. We also launched our first-ever sustainability plan, which was inspired by resident advocacy and outlines how Beacon Hill can reduce our environmental impact and create a better, greener world for future generations. Amid all these exciting new endeavors, our dedicated team continued to go above and beyond serving up unexpected dining experiences, creating vibrant programming, advancing innovative dementia care and so much more to ensure our residents lead healthy, fulfilling lifestyles across the continuum of care.

This past year was also filled with opportunities to highlight our wonderful team and enhance the lives of members of the outside community. We’re incredibly proud that our team’s unmatched passion and dedication have once again earned us local and national recognition as a Great Place to Work® and a leader in delivering exceptional care among continuing care retirement communities. In 2024, the spirit of service extended beyond our walls, with residents and team members donating more than 3,100 hours to dozens of local organizations through volunteering and board service. In turn, members of the community gave nearly 1,000 hours back to us, building meaningful connections that uplift all.

We’d again like to warmly acknowledge the countless residents, friends, partners and members of the community for making the achievements and moments in this report possible. Since our beginnings in 1959 as Michigan Christian Home, our hearts have been set on providing passionate care and building a supportive community. We’re deeply grateful for your support in 2024, and we’re thrilled to keep growing together in the years to come.
