Whorled – Concerts on the Green

Concerts on the Green Kicks Off June 10 with Whorled

Summer is here, and that means it’s time once again for one of Beacon Hill at Eastgate’s favorite traditions — Concerts on the Green!

We’re excited to kick off our 10th Anniversary Season on Wednesday, June 10, with a performance by Whorled, a talented Grand Rapids acoustic trio known for creating a musical journey unlike any other. The free concert begins at 7 p.m. on the front lawn at Beacon Hill at Eastgate and is open to residents, neighbors and community members of all ages.

Whorled blends musical traditions from around the world, weaving together influences from Irish folk music, traditional Japanese melodies, bluegrass and other global styles to create a sound that is both familiar and refreshingly unique. The trio’s performances are filled with rich instrumentation, cultural storytelling and unexpected musical turns that keep audiences engaged from beginning to end.

What makes Whorled especially captivating is its ability to connect musical traditions across cultures and generations. One song might begin as an Irish highland tune before seamlessly transitioning into a Japanese folk melody and ending with a lively bluegrass swing. It’s an experience that invites listeners to travel the world through music without ever leaving their lawn chair.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of folk and acoustic music or simply looking for a wonderful way to spend a summer evening, Whorled’s performance promises to be a memorable start to this year’s Concerts on the Green series.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket, gather with friends and neighbors, and join us as we celebrate another season of music, community and connection at Beacon Hill at Eastgate.

We look forward to seeing you on the Green!
