10 Holiday Snacks to Relish

Festive Treats for Your Seasonal Gatherings

There is no doubt about it. This is the most wonderful time of the year—for several reasons!

For some people, nothing beats the scent of a freshly cut Christmas tree. For others, one aspect of the holidays stands out above anything else: the endless supply of classic Christmas songs.

Yet, for even more people, their countless memories with friends and loved ones are more important than anything else.

But let’s not forget about the food either. It’s simply spectacular, from hors d’oeuvres, to main courses, to desserts. As you prepare to enjoy some holiday meals and parties soon, here are some snacks to consider relishing—with your friends, family members, and fellow Beacon Hill residents.

Charcuterie board. Who doesn’t love the infinite options that a charcuterie board provides? Cheeses. Fruits. Meats. Veggies. The possibilities are limitless! And, best of all, you won’t have to cook anything.

Cheese ball. Again, this snack won’t require you to cook anything. Just buy various types of crackers and a cheese ball at your local grocery store. You should be able to find numerous cheese ball options, too.

Christmas bark. As a dessert that people of all ages will treasure, Christmas bark has a variety of ingredients. In particular, you should purchase brown sugar, butter, crackers, milk or white chocolate, and vanilla extract. To ensure it’s as festive as possible, peppermint candies or sprinkles will add further color to this delicious treat.

Cornflake wreaths. This is a fun dessert to create with your grandkids. All you’ll need is some butter, Cornflakes, green food coloring, marshmallows, and red candies. From there, you’ll be able to create colorful, mini Christmas wreaths.

Deviled eggs. Although deviled eggs are especially popular during the Easter season, why not enjoy them in December, too? They’re relatively easy to make, absolutely delectable, and not overly filling—enabling you and your guests to relish many other snacks as well.

Fruit kabobs. If you’re seeking a healthy snack option for this holiday season, look no further than fruit kabobs. All you’ll need is some skewers and whichever type of fruit you’d like to serve. The more colorful the fruit, the better, leading to a gorgeous presentation for your guests.

Pigs in a blanket. Are you interested in yet another fun, yet easy-to-make snack? Don’t forget about pigs in a blanket! Simply buy crescent rolls and mini sausages. Wrap each sausage in a crescent roll, bake, and serve. If you or your guests don’t like sausages, substitute them with veggies or other types of meats instead. Make sure you have some dips for them, too!

Puppy chow. Also known as Muddy Buddies, this snack usually features butter, Chex, chocolate chips, peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Don’t worry about turning on an oven for this snack. All you’ll need is a microwave!

Roasted nuts. Chestnuts roasting over an open fire? Not quite, but you and your guests will love the roasted nuts you offer, complete with toppings like cinnamon, nutmeg, or sugar. They’re healthy, flavorful, and festive, as they’ll remind you of past holidays.

Spinach artichoke dip. Would you like to create another snack that’s delicious and nutritious? Look no further than spinach artichoke dip! For further options, you can serve salsa, nacho cheese, and avocado dip to your guests as well. Just be sure to purchase plenty of crackers and chips.

‘Tis the season—to be merry, socialize….and eat. By creating these snacks, your next holiday get-together at Beacon Hill will definitely be a hit!
