Sustainability Phase 1 Overview

Beacon Hill residents recently united to demonstrate their commitment to the environment and sustainability during a two-day event. These discovery sessions are part of the ongoing Beacon Hill Community Sustainability Initiative (BHCSI), an endeavor that began in August 2023, building upon grassroots efforts from 2019. Day one of the meetings, led by sustainability expert Joe Rinkevich, introduced the principles of sustainability and showcased projects by Kendra Wills and Gabe Wing. The second day evolved into a dynamic workshop, where residents brainstormed actionable steps to reduce environmental impact in areas like energy, water, and materials. The meetings left participants energized, highlighting the power of collective action to effect positive change in their community and the environment.
