Bringing smiles through PAWS

Grand Rapids, Mich.- Two organizations are bringing smiles to those who need it most in these strange times. Paws With A Cause and Beacon Hill have partnered to put on a dog parade through the Beacon Hill community.

Volunteer Foster Puppy Raisers and PAWS Trainers will parade outside of the independent and assisted living facilities of Beacon Hill on Monday, October 19 from 2-3 pm.

Paws With A Cause is a nonprofit that custom-trains assistance dogs for people with disabilities. An event like this is a perfect opportunity for PAWS Dogs to practice walking nicely on leash and behaving appropriately around other dogs.

Residents of Beacon Hill have spent more time indoors this year due to the social distancing orders. The hope is that this event makes their day a little brighter.
