Grand Rapids: A City with a Big Sense of Community
Celebrate Good Times
At Beacon Hill, we love to share all of the amazing things that are happening on our campus to enrich the lives of our senior community. So much so, that we sometimes neglect to celebrate how all of those wonderful activities are possible. Without a doubt, the staff here is committed to providing the very best life to each and every resident. Our acclaim, however, is also due to something else … the beautiful city we reside within.
Location, Location, Location!
Beacon Hill was founded in the heart of Grand Rapid’s Eastgate community in 1960. One of the best places to live in Michigan, Grand Rapids offers all of the culture, attractions, and activity of a large metropolitan area, without sacrificing its neighborhood charm. We are truly blessed to be situated right in the center of such a wonderfully vibrant community and are committed to enhancing its ongoing growth and development.
Teamwork is the Dreamwork
Beacon Hill has long enjoyed a core value system of Christ-inspired compassion, service, collaboration, generosity, and integrity. By joining with the Eastgate Neighborhood Association and forming the Eastgate Engaged Initiative, we are able to share these ideals and help lead the way for community growth. Thanks to teamwork and research, this partnership has unveiled the community’s desire for more public spaces such as bus stops, parks, and green space. Beacon Hill is committed to helping with these goals and further investing in the Eastgate neighborhood’s success.
Leading the Charge
Aside from being the largest employer in Eastgate with the largest resident population, Beacon Hill has proudly invested $100 million in our neighborhood. We believe our economic contributions and collaborative endeavors will help ensure that Eastgate will remain a safe, welcoming and highly desirable neighborhood. As such, our residents are able to make the most out of retirement life and will continue to do so for generations to come.
Come and celebrate the beauty of Beacon Hill. Eastgate residents are encouraged to stop in and enjoy our lovely grounds, delicious dining venues, community gardens, and more! Our residents love to socialize with neighbors–especially during events that are open to the community, such as our Summer Concert Series, Community Picnic, Lectures, and Music Performances. Our Community House is also available for rent by community members for family events, community gatherings, and meetings. There is so much to see and do at Beacon Hill—we just can’t keep it all to ourselves.
The Future is Bright
Today, Beacon Hill serves over 300 residents and their families. Our commitment to deliver unsurpassed care to our entire community and surrounding Eastgate neighborhood grows stronger with each passing milestone. We look forward to celebrating a bright, beautiful future in Grand Rapids and welcome you to be a part of it.
